John Eaton founded his business in 1874. On his death in 1929, the company was purchased by a consortium of local businessmen lead by Frank Haynes. The Haynes family has run the business ever since. Michael & David Haynes took over the business from their father Richard on his retirement in the summer of 1994. The business has had several relocations over the years, the last of which was in October 2007, to the brand new prestigious site in Derby’s Intu Centre.
